The supervisor of thesis doc. RNDr. Karla Barčová, Ph.D. The thesis deals with the use of chromatographic methods in the field of toxicology as a tool for the identification of unknown substances. The aim of the work is to specify the possibilities of identification of toxic substances by analytical methods of liquid and gas chromatography, including the addition of mass spectrometry. The theoretical part focuses on legislation related to toxicology, the basics of toxicology itself, including its division and the theory of chromatographic methods. The practical part is devoted to the detection of active ingredients in samples with a focus on psychoactive substances using chromatographic methods. The used devices and the selected plants and fungi are listed also in this capitol.
