Abstract
The aim of my thesis was an analysis of the problems of nominal corvengence in the context of common currency adoption and making a comparison of Maastricht criteria adoption in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
My thesis si divided into six chapters. In the first chapter you can find the introduction to the topic and definitiv of targets. The second chapter is focused on real and nominal corvengence, definition and Maastricht criteria adoption in 2004 – 2009. The third chapter is about impacts of global economic cricis in Czech and Slovak economies. The fourth charter describes Slovak way to adoption of common currency and classification of impacts of this process in Slovak economy. The fifth chapter shows establishment of the EMU, advantages and possible problems resulting from the joining the EMU but also a similarity of economic cycle between Czech economy and states in the EMU. At the end of this thesis there are answers on my defined targets.
