Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of thermal energy storage with a focus on technical solutions for storage systems and the properties of storage media. The aim of the thesis is to systematically describe the physical principles of heat accumulation, analyze key material and design aspects, and classify individual types of storage systems according to the length of the accumulation cycle and the physical principle. The thesis combines theoretical analysis with an overview of current and promising technologies, including latent and thermochemical storage systems. The output is a comprehensive overview of storage technologies with an emphasis on technical feasibility, energy efficiency, and application possibilities in the context of modern energy.
