Historie a současnost těžby v Lomu Žulová IV

Abstract

In its first part the thesis focuses on the description of the open cast granite mine Žulová IV. and the intruduction of the individual procedures of the block mining of rock in the past and nowadays. The procedures include a detailed description of extracting the granite in small amounts and also the current equipment of the mine. A significant part of the thesis deals with the plan of extending the mine, which will have an impact on its future development. Crutial points that will have to be considered when extending the mine are mentioned too. The plan is based mainly on my own experience and consultations with expert workers of local mines engaged in similar issues.
