Abstract
This diploma thesis is divided into two main parts. Theoretical, describing legal regulation of pension insurance and practical one, in which development of pension insurance is elaborated, analysis of pension insurance allowances in Ostrava is provided as well as knowledge of the public about this issue is mentioned.
The aim of this thesis was to analyze pension insurance, describe the changes after 2010 when pension insurance went through significant changes.
