Abstract

The topic of this thesis is to optimize inventory at KERN Ltd. The work is divided into five chapters. The first three chapters are purely theoretical. The first chapter focuses on stocks, the functions of stocks, their division and the risks that brings supply. The second chapter describes inventory management, factors affecting inventory management, processes during the wrong manage of inventory and subsequent methods of improvement. The third chapter focuses on the management of stock levels, which are discussed in demand patterns and inventory management, as well as models of material flow management. The fourth chapter describes the company KERN Ltd. and its inventory. This chapter also includes economic situation and development of the company. The final chapter is a detailed analysis of inventory and storage costs KERN Ltd. The dissertation ends by proposals with potential benefits for the company.
