Abstract

This diploma thesis is specialized in voice comparison, text to speech transfer and its implementation as an educational instrument. The goal of this work is to implement desktop application in form of multimedia application with basic emphasis on interactive and visual processing.

The diploma thesis is divided into 3 chapters. The first one is devoted to selected spheres of digital sound processing, comparing audio samples and to approach to basic questions of sound processing.

The second chapter discusses the problems of implementation and its problems. The last chapter describes application content, testing and results. Compared to common English pronunciation books and audio-compact discs, the application solved as pedagogical instrument has a big advantage due to its interactivity and user feedback.
