Abstract

This Diploma thesis compares the performance of the cascading and alternating activation tanks in the wastewater treatment plant Novy Jicin. The first part describes the general problems of wastewater treatment, especially the biological wastewater treatment. Furthermore the activation process and the technological modification activation. The second part describes the technical description, the history and the activation tanks which are used in the wastewater treatment plant Novy Jicin and the analysis of samples and their subsequent evaluation.
