Abstract

Various types of wastes are rising in the integrated metallurgical plants and individual technological units. The bulk of the waste, which originated in recent years have found their use in construction. Major of these wastes (classified as hazardous wastes) contain harmful elements, hence exist only limited possibilities of its treatment, because adverse effects on the environment and human health. This bachelor thesis deals with selected metallurgical dusts rising in metallurgical plant. Such dusts are not back used (recycled) yet in a manufacturing technological flow, but by the experimental treatment is being a sought suitable alternative. Each type of the dust was submitted to extensive analyses of physical and chemical properties. Based on these analyses were selected two types of dusts, best suited to recycling. Consequently they were submitted to briquetting and subsequently processing in the rotary furnace in order to utilization of metal fractions included in them.
