Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of a steer-by-wire system for the rear axle of an experimental vehicle. According to the outline of the assignment, the initial part of the thesis is an introduction to the overall issues of the thesis and an analysis of the design concept of the system on a theoretical level. The next step is the practical incorporation of the mechanical, communication and electronic parts of the system into the structure of the vehicle according to a precise workflow. Furthermore, the design and implementation of the control algorithm was carried out with the possibility of inputting requirements from the parent control system in the Matlab-Simulink environment. This was followed by the final phase of the work, where the system was partially tested to verify the functionality
