Abstract
The subject of this thesis is the design of an embedded sensor system prototype for the collection and evaluation of biomedical data. Its purpose is to present the theme of vital signs measurements and real-time data processing and the proposal of mobile embedded system for biometric data measurement. The main aim of this master thesis is the realization of a sensor system prototype. Captured data from the measured person are transmitted into the host system in real time, where they are processed, evaluated and archived. Bluetooth technology is used to transfer data from the nearest host system.
The thesis is divided into two sections. The first section presents a general introduction to the measurement of the vital functions and the subsequent processing of biometric signals. It also deals with the most frequently monitored life functions, provides their overview and the physiological basis of diagnostic methods used in order to capture them. The second section describes the equipment design and its practical implementation.
