Abstract
The thesis deals with vibrations of induction motors, arising from the power supply of motors by a frequency converters. The beginning of the thesis is devoted to familiarization with the problems of vibrations and noise and their basic terminologies. Subsequently there is described a design of induction motors and the basic principle of their function. The next part presents a classifications of frequency converters and their basic principles. In the fourth chapter is the work devoted to vibrations of electrical motors, while there are defined basic sources of vibrations according to their origin. The following part is focused on the influence of harmonics which may occur in an induction motor and there are also described different types of harmonics according to their origin. Following two chapters describes methods for measuring of vibration parameters and their evaluation, which inherently includes a frequency analysis of vibrations. The work also includes results of the comparative measurements of vibrations during supply of power from a grid and from a frequency converter. These results are analyzed and evaluated.
