Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the process of demolition of storage and technological units in a chemical plant, specifically the destruction of the ethylbenzene storage, pumping station, part of the pipeline bridge and the pump room. The main objective of the thesis is to describe and evaluate the technological procedures of the disposal, the management of the waste generated during the demolition and the protection of the environment during the whole process.
The work also focuses on the legislative framework of demolition, safety measures and environmental aspects related to the recycling of construction waste and contaminated soil. An important element is the analysis of the specific conditions for the reuse of materials in a chemical plant, including the decision of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate regarding the limits of contamination of soil intended for backfilling.
The result of the work is a comprehensive view of industrial demolition with an emphasis on sustainability and efficient waste recovery in accordance with legislation.
