Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of interaction between physical security and fire protection of selected buildings and focuses on the design of conceptual and systemic measures to achieve coherence between fire protection and physical security, with particular emphasis on the prevention and elimination of conflicts between these areas. The theoretical part is devoted to defining basic terms, describing fire protection and physical security systems, and legal regulations in the context of building protection. The practical part contains the author's practical findings, an evaluation of security checks, a comparison of elements from both areas, the use of verified risk assessment methods, and a proposal for preventive solutions that support the compatibility, effectiveness, and synergy of both systems.
