Analýza možných výskytů havárií při vrtání hlubokých geotermálních vrtů

Abstract

The main aim of this thesis is to briefly describe what geothermal energy is, its potential use, especially in terms of its use as a high temperature source. That is for the reason that the exploration and possible use of this energy, which our planet Earth is hiding, is becoming more and more prevalent nowadays. The thesis will further address the issues related to geothermal projects in terms of drilling of these wells. Mainly because the areas, where this high-potential source of heat is located, are buried deep in the Earth's crust at depths of over 5 000 metres , and the technology and technique of drilling deep boreholes is slightly different than for conventional hydrocarbon drilling (oil and natural gas). The thesis will also describe selected accidents and its causes, consequences and possible solutions in regards to removal of these accidents
