Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to evaluate structural and fatigue properties of modified 42CrMo4 steel, which is used for the above-duty machine parts. The aim is to determine the fatigue limit, micro-hardness, hardness, microstructure assess and evaluate the micro-cleanliness steel. The problems of fatigue is nowadays a great emphasis because it is statistically most frequent cause of failure of the structure and operation of machine components operating in conditions where they are subjected and the time-varying power to 80% of the operating mines is being caused by fatigue.
