Kultura bezpečnosti v podnicích zařazených dle zákona o prevenci závažných havárií

Abstract

The master’s thesis is focused on interconnecting two distinguished fields of study, i.e. prevention of major accidents and safety culture. Introductory part of the thesis provides theoretic background for safety culture and current system of major accidents prevention. Following part describes a relationship between safety culture, major accidents, safety management systems and safety performance. Situation regarding the employment of safety culture principles in establishments under the Seveso III directive in the Czech Republic is evaluated in the form of a questionnaire survey. The final part of the thesis proposes possible changes in safety management system established by the Seveso III directive in order to promote safety culture and reduce the occurrence of major accidents which is the main goal of the thesis.
