Abstract
This diploma thesis focuses on the optimization of management processes and increasing competitiveness in veterinary clinics. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of processes, identify weaknesses, and design a SaaS solution for more efficient clinic operations. The theoretical part defines concepts from process management, competitiveness, and SaaS solutions with a focus on veterinary care. The practical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews with veterinary clinic staff and analysis of processes in real conditions. Based on the identified needs, the NaraVet system was designed to optimize key processes - patient visit planning, medical documentation management, and billing. The proposed solution was implemented as a prototype and tested in selected clinics. The results showed a reduction in appointment scheduling time by 80%, medical documentation management by 80%, and billing by 75%. NaraVet includes a reservation system, electronic documentation, a mobile application for pet owners, and an automated notification system. SWOT analysis identified strengths (specialization in veterinary care), weaknesses (limited resources), opportunities (growing digitalization), and threats (competition, resistance to change). Despite positive test results, it was determined that for economic reasons, the product in its current form will likely not be launched on the market. Nevertheless, the work provides valuable insights into the needs of the veterinary services market and demonstrates the potential of digitalization for increasing the competitiveness of clinics.
