Abstract
This thesis focuses on the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods in the evaluation of selected property insurance products. The aim of the thesis is to compare insurance products offered by major insurance companies operating on the Czech market based on defined criteria and to determine which of the analyzed insurers provides the most advantageous conditions. Based on this evaluation, the optimal insurance product alternative is identified.
The evaluation is carried out for five model situations representing different types of insured objects, namely a family house, an apartment, a recreational property, a garage, and a building under construction. The analysis applies the TOPSIS and PROMETHEE methods, which enable the determination of the final ranking of individual alternatives based on multiple evaluation criteria.
The thesis also includes a sensitivity analysis, which assesses the impact of changes in criteria weights on the final evaluation. The results show that the best-rated alternatives offer a balanced combination of premium price and insurance coverage, while products with higher prices or limited coverage are evaluated less favorably.
