Abstract

The aim of this work is create a measurement card protection, which are used for educational purpose. The protection should respond to the surge or overload cards, short-circuits or reverse polarity. The basic of the protection is an optical isolation. Measuring card is equipped with 8 analog inputs/outputs. These inputs/outputs are limited to the 2 inputs/outputs by protection module, which can be selected using the buttons. Linear analog opt couplers together with operational amplifiers provides surge protection, operational amplifiers limits maximum voltage applied to the measurement card. An output operational amplifier provides short-circuit protections. Opt couplers provide surge and overload protection digital routes.
