Abstract

In the present bachelor thesis is initially processed by a general description of bacteria - physiology, morphology and reproduction. The main theme is selected species of bacteria, anaerobic bacteria. The thesis focuses on their characteristic, dividing, taxonomy and utilization in the sphere of environmental biotechnology - specifically in anaerobic wastewater treatment processes, which are now coming to the forefront. Describes the specific types of bacteria involved in these processes, and their activities. Part of thesis is devoted to selected important strains of anaerobic bacteria from a medical point of view. Described strains Bacteroides, Clostridium and Bifidobacterium and their effects on the human body. Specific options for the identification of anaerobic bacteria are also provided.
