Faktory ovlivňující zaměstnanost mladých v České republice a vybraných zemích EU

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on factors influencing youth employment in the Czech Republic and selected EU countries (Germany, Denmark and Spain). First part provides overview of theoretical and empirical literature related to youth employment and unemployment. The next part focuses on the historical development of youth employment and unemployment in the Czech Republic and selected countries of the European Union since 1997. It also contains an evaluation and comparison of the current situation in all selected countries. Another important part is analysis of supply and demand on labor market in Ostrava. Last part of this thesis summarizes programs supporting employment and my own suggestions and recommendations.
