Abstract
Presented diploma paper deals with automated creation of colored shaded relief with textures. Initial sections explains texturing basis in general as well as in connection with GIS. Next part of the paper offers brief raster data model description followed by selected raster formats characteristics. Practical sections cover TPRT – Textured Painted Relief Tool implementation. Methods and principles for spatial data procedural textures are explained, likewise their further manipulations which eventually lead to painted relief with textures. User data validation and processing plus own graphic user interface are also discussed. Most important findings and potential areas of future tool development are summed up in the final part of the text.
