Abstract

The work is deals with the detailed analysis of pension politics in the Czech Republic. The first part introduces the institution which are providing retirement securing. The following part deals with a general description of pension insurance with a way of calculating of the pension, than follows a chronological description of the procedure for pension insurance, including the possibility for appeal against the decision to retire. The next part deals with the three stages of the pension reform, which builds on the survey and comparison of the pension system in the Czech Republic and in other EU countries. In conclusion, of this work is evaluated standard of living of Czech pensioners and newly adopted pension reform. In the presented work are included graphical displays, which show to highlight the increasing expenses for pensions betwen years 1989 - 2008, and the growing number of pensioners in these year.
