Abstract
Air separation is part of many technological processes that are applied in different industries. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the process of the production of technical gases and to define and describe the individual parts of this process. Secondly, the use of the technical gases in industry is described. The compressor, cooling system, air purification, cold production and distillation columns are described in the theoretical part. In the practical part, there is a calculation of the efficiency of the compressor.
