Abstract
This thesis focuses on a comparison of two surveying methods used for the documentation and analysis of quarry wall geometry, namely classical geodetic surveying using a total station and aerial photogrammetry carried out with the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The theoretical part describes the principles of both methods, their characteristics, applications, and limitations. The practical part deals with the application of both methods in surveying a quarry wall in the Kotouč Štramberk quarry and the subsequent processing of the acquired data into cross-sectional profiles. Based on graphical evaluation, the results of both methods are compared in terms of accuracy, level of detail, and efficiency. The thesis assesses their practical benefits and possible applications under surface quarry conditions.
