Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes the production of centrifugally cast rolls made of the 15340 steel and origins of unsatisfactory hardness values of this cast rolls. In the theoretical part of the thesis technology of centifugal casting, distribution of steels according to standard ČSN 42 0002 and heat treatment, specially nitriding are described. The experimental part of the thesis contains analysis of chemical composition and analysis of mechanical properties, microstructural analysis and the Vickers indentation method as a examination of hardness.
