Abstract

The diploma paper compares procedures for the desulphation of mine water from the pit Jiří in Sokolov by means of aluminium ions. There is the most suitable agent for sulphate remotion suggested in the end. The theory part deals with the origins and characteristics of mine water, the possible procedures for its desulphation and also with the test methods of sulphate concentration reduction. The practical part is devoted to the laboratory experiments carried out with real mine water with the input sulphate concentration of 1225,6 mg.l-1 and of 1002,5 mg.l-1. The mine water was treated by using the aluminium ions in the form of sodium aluminate, polyaluminium chloride and sodium aluminate. The pH value in the sample was edited by 20% calcium hydroxide. The methodical procedures for the desulphation were based on the patent documents (CZ 295 200) and (CZ 292 239).
