Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on the flood risk assessment of Břeclav. Physical geographical characteristics of the area of interest (the Dyje catchment and district of Břeclav) and history of flooding in Břeclav, together with description of used models (ArcGIS, HEC – RAS, HEC – GeoRAS, MIKE 11 a MIKE 11 GIS), are mentioned in the theoretical part. The practical part is devoted to the hydrological modelling and creation of risk matrix. Results presentation and final evaluation are discussed in the last part of this diploma thesis.
