The diploma thesis addresses the elaboration of suitable concepts for the solution of public spaces of the local part of Jančí in Březová town in a county of Opava, concentrated mainly in the vicinity of the chapel, the cultural center and the playground. Based on the developed analysis and a detailed examination of the current state of the area in question, three different proposals were developed with a detailed elaboration in the form of an urban study.

The thesis contains an overview of the theoretical starting point dealing with public space issues in village settlements, as well as a research of similar places facing similar challenges as the center of Jančí. The fundamental part of the thesis focuses on the basic understanding of the area with a detailed analysis of the current state of the area and subsequently on the design of a suitable concept for the public spaces. The conclusion of the observes the achieved results and their evaluation.
