Abstract

This master thesis deals with the use of LED for vehicle communication V2V, which would increase the transport safety. The introduction is dedicated to a general description of telematic systems for V2V communication with a possible use of LED for communication among vehicles. Using the designed transmission system, the various kinds of modulations are tested and by means of combinations of set parameters, the maximum transmission rates for particular distances are identified. By means of a rear light, it is tested whether the optical power falls when using certain modulations. Taking into consideration the fact that LEDs frequently begin to substitute classic lights in vehicles, the usage these diodes is optimal for communication among vehicles as well.
