Abstract
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a web application supporting a tournament system for a hybrid board game. The application enables user management and supports gameplay through an interactive manual and a random map generator. The thesis also includes an analysis of the board game publishing process and the use of crowdfunding.
The backend of the application is implemented using ASP.NET Core and utilizes a SQL Server database. User authentication is handled using JWT. The frontend of the application is developed using the React framework. The application includes an activation key system for verifying game ownership, a mechanism for confirming match results between multiple players without the need for a referee, and a role-based user management system.
The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the Kickstarter platform and three successful board game campaigns, namely Frosthaven, The 7th Continent, and Kingdom Death: Monster. Based on this analysis, the key factors influencing the success of crowdfunding campaigns are identified.
