Abstract
The work is divided into two parts. The first part, the research part, presents the basic aspects of BIM, the history and current state in the Czech Republic and definitions of terms that are necessary for working with BIM.
The practical part analyses the possible ways of determining the thermal technical characteristics of buildings using the building information model in the chosen commercial CDE on a selected object, which was modelled in the student version of Graphisoft ArchiCAD 26 software.
The output of the thesis is a detailed analysis of the effectiveness of the chosen procedure.
