Abstract

This thesis deals with the management of material inventories in the company of V-KUTY, spol. s r.o., in relation to newly introduced product range. The theoretical part of this work explains in detail the importance of inventories, related inventory activities and methods of their effective management. The practical part analysis the issue of material inventories in selected division of the business. Based on the findings the appropriate production standardization is designed as a basis for effective management of supply activities. For the purposes of production planning of these standards, the analytical programming method Gozinto is used and the way of demand predictions for newly introduced product is suggested.
