Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on material and energy utilization of municipal waste. It points out the issues of municipal waste in the Czech Republic and in the world. There are described the available known methods for recycling of municipal waste are described, such as material utilization of municipal waste, which mainly focuses on final sorting of the waste and recovery of important secondary raw material, and energetic utilization. Thermal methods, incineration, pyrolysis and products after biological processing. An integral part of the diploma thesis is the practical part dealing with material balance of a selected area and the energetic utilization of solid alternative fuel by its incineration.
