Supervisor of the Thesis Ing. Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. The purpose of the thesis was to perform safety study of mechanical resistence of selected padlocks. Three destructive methods have been selected to compare padlock resistance. Their purpose was to determine if the padlocks are able to resist their test. The theoretical part is about basic information about padlocks, description of destructive and non-desctructive methods. An important part is the market research, which resulted in the selection of padlocks, which are subjected to selected destructive tests in this thesis. The last part of the thesis is devoted to final evaluation of resistance tests selected padlocks.
