Posouzení možnosti vstupu na burzu za účelem financování podnikového růstu

Abstract

The thesis deals with the possibility of entering the stock exchange to finance corporate growth. The aim of the thesis is to assess the possibility of financing corporate growth through a primary offering, i.e. an initial public offering (IPO). The first chapter of the thesis explains the area of long-term financing. The chapter describes the basics of financial management and decision making and defines the sources of long-term financing. Furthermore, the chapter deals with the issue of shares, optimization of capital structure and financial analysis. The second chapter elaborates on the methodology and methods used to achieve the stated objective of the thesis. In the subsequent third chapter, the IPO process and its different phases are characterized. The chapter further focuses on the Prague Stock Exchange and its START market. The last chapter of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of primary offering of selected Czech companies and their comparison. Based on the results of the analysis, general conclusions are drawn regarding primary offering as a possible source of corporate financing.
