Abstract

Current territorial ecologic limits for brown coal mining in open-cast mine ČSA are one of the main problems of the Energy concept in terms of CR energy development for the future. These limits are the main theme of this bachelor thesis. The thesis is focused on mining, proposals, scenarios and consequences ecologic limits blocking in the area of ČSA mine. The aim of this thesis is to make the reader familier with present and future roles of brown coal for the CR energy economy, regarding its reserves, coal mining in ČSA mine, its consumption in power plants at electric energy production; all that in comperison with other active open-cast mines in Sokolovská pánev basin and Severočeská hnědouhelná pánev basin. Then I focused on possible effects of current territorial ecologic limits on the future of ČSA mine and also on the future of the whole Ústecký kraj region and the total independence of the Czech republic on power sources imported from abroad.
