Abstract

The aim of my thesis is to compile a summary about the number of liquidated main mines in Ostrava - Karviná District, a summary of legislation related to this issue as well as the analysis of the care demandingness of the liquidated main mines under the management of DIAMO, s.p., o.z. ODRA in Ostrava - Vítkovice.

The thesis further describes the history of main mines liquidation, periodic inspections, their construction, all individual works being performed on them, economic costs related to the defects elimination and the total assessment of the time horizon for recultivation and reconstruction of the region.
