Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with horizontal and vertical illuminance in public spaces. The theoretical part contains the definition of illuminance and its types. Furthermore, the normative requirements for public lighting are discussed, and these are: selection of lighting class based on traffic on the road, requirements for lighting classes, calculations of lighting parameters, measurement methods and energy performance indicators. It also includes an analysis of the optical properties of materials. The reflective properties of the materials used on the roads are described in more detail. In the practical part the scene of public lighting is modeled in program DIALux 3.14. in which two light sources were compared. Individual analyzes and conclusions were made from this comparison.
