The subject of the thesis is the design of Funeral hall and extension of the current cemetery in the city of Malacky, close the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Due to the large increase of new population, it is necessary to expand the capacity of insufficient burial sites. The new cemetery will serve as cemetery for most of the city’s inhabitants. The concept of the design follows the original regular historical arrangement and natural landscape. The structure of the of the cemetery is designed for various types of burials from the burial of the deceased to the ground to the urn groves. The aim of this work is the urban design of the cemetery layout and also the architectural design of the funeral hall and chapel. The purpose is to create a reverent place for the last parting and remembrance of the deceased.
