Abstract

The thesis deals with the problems of electrostatic precipitators. Individual chapters describe the basic division of precipitators according to certain criteria, described are the different types of precipitators - mechanical, electrostatic, and combined. Further, the physical nature of electrostatic precipitation is described. The origin and operation of an electrostatic field and corona. Described are the two types of electrodes. Mentioned are also the legal requirements and norms under which electrostatic precipitation falls under. Another chapter contains a list of coal-fired power plants in the Czech Republic, their parameters and properties of precipitators they use.
