Abstract
The essence of this thesis is a filtration of data obtained by ultrasonic liquid level sensor measurement. This measurement is realized during the car drive, so the aim of the filtration is to eliminate some undesirable effects which were caused by unsteadiness of the liquid level during the drive.
In the introductory part of this thesis, the working principle of ultrasound and its use for liquid level sensing are theoretically explained. The thesis continues with the description of the realized measurement and with the analysis of the output data. The whole analysis and processing of the data is done in the programming environment MATLAB. With regard to the character of the obtained data, the thesis deals especially with their processing in the time domain.
The result of the thesis is a designed filter, whose structure combines some basic kinds of filters, such as a median filter etc. At the end of the thesis some properties of the filter are introduced and compared among several data files which were obtained by two different types of the given sensors.
