Abstract
The submitted dissertation describes newly acquired knowledge and procedures in the remediation of contaminated soil with the occurrence of risk elements (zinc, chromium, nickel, copper, arsenic, lead) using flotation separation and phytoremediation. The aim of this dissertation is to verify the effectiveness of these methods.
The research summarizes the results regarding the verification of the effectiveness of individual flotation agents at different doses. Kerosene and potassium ethyl xanthogenate were used as reagents. Application of these two reagents at the same time and flotation without the use of a collector was also tested. On the basis of flotation tests, it emerged that similar results were achieved with kerosene, which is a non-polar collector, as with polar potassium ethyl xanthogenate, which, as an anion-active collector, is intended directly for the flotation of metals. Interesting results were achieved during flotation without the application of a collector.
The next phase of the tests verifies the possibilities of using phytoremediation technology. Based on long-term research and practical experience both locally and internationally, cannabis sativa, which is suitable for cultivation in Central and Northern Europe, was chosen for these experiments.
