Abstract
The theoretical part describes the resolution and parts of the transmission electron microscope. The principle of electron diffraction and electron diffraction techniques are described. Selected analytical techniques of transmission electron microscopy and their limitations are also described. Last in the theoretical section is a description of sample preparation techniques for transmission electron microscopy. In the practical part, the heterogeneous Super 304H/P92 weld joint is defined. Furthermore, the preparation of carbon extraction replicas from the base materials of the heterogeneous weld joint is covered. The minority phases present in the carbon extraction replicas are documented and identified in the base materials after creep exposure.
