Využití GIS a navigačních prostředků při řešení mimořádných událostí Plzeňského kraje

Abstract

The bachelor thesis describes geographical information systems and navigation systems. It assesses their history and development, basic and specific qualities, functions and use. Furthermore it focuses on development and implementation of the GIS system and navigation instruments in Fire Brigade Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. In greater detail it analyses the use of GIS systems and the GPS navigation systems for dealing with extraordinary events of HZS of the Pilsen region. It characterises the current state of communication between these two systems and for the future it suggests possibilities of further use of the systems for dealing with extraordinary events.
