Abstract
Financial analysis is a tool for assessing the financial situation of an economic entity. The aim of the submitted bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the selected company for the period 2014-2018. The second chapter presents the methodological basis and describes the methods of financial analysis. The third chapter contains basic information about the company and a horizontal and vertical analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss statements is performed. The fourth chapter assesses the financial situation of the selected company using the analysis of indicators of indebtedness, profitability, liquidity, activity and the pyramid decomposition of return on equity. The evaluation of the financial situation of the company is performed on the basis of a comparison of the values of individual indicators over time and within the recommended values.
