Optimalizace vtokové soustavy pro odlévání štíhlých kruhových ocelových ingotů s využitím numerického modelování

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with optimization of the gating system for casting slender circular steel ingots using numerical modeling. The thesis is divided into two basic parts. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of domestic and foreign literary knowledge in the field of steel ingot casting. This part includes the theoretical foundations of the production of steel ingots. There are also methods of verification of the casting process and the influence of boundary conditions on the casting of steel ingots. The second part of the diploma thesis deals with the practical optimization of the current process of casting circular steel ingots from below using numerical modeling. Attention is paid here mainly to the optimization of the nozzle shape depending on the different total casting time and the casting start-up speed. The aim of this diploma thesis is to improve the profile of the initial spatter, the character of the filling and the final character of the filling in the whole mold thanks to the optimization of the nozzle.
