Analýza a optimalizace procesu lití tvárné litiny s podporou simulačního softwaru

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis and optimization of a casting made of ductile cast iron EN-GJS-450-10, produced by gravity casting into a bentonite mould using the MAGMASOFT 6.1 simulation software. The theoretical part summarizes the basic properties of this type of cast iron, the factors influencing its production, and the most common foundry defects occurring in the given foundry, including possible methods for their elimination. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the design and modification of the gating system, including the presentation of basic calculation procedures. It also describes the work with the MAGMASOFT simulation software, which was used to analyze the original design and subsequently optimize the casting technology. This part also includes an evaluation of the individual design modifications of the gating system, which led to a reduction in the rejection rate and an improvement in the quality of the final casting.
