Křižovatka Těšínská - Třinecká (Těrlicko)

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines road safety and assesses the safety of the current layout of the intersection of Těšínská and Třinecká Streets in the village of Těrlicko, where roads I/11 and II/474 meet. The introductory section focuses on analyzing traffic accident rates and evaluating conflict situations in the area. The thesis also includes an assessment of the structural and technical condition of the intersection, a determination of current traffic volumes, and a subsequent forecast of traffic volumes for the year 2045. The current condition of the intersection is further evaluated in terms of capacity for both current and projected traffic volumes. Based on the data obtained, two variants of a new layout are proposed, which are also evaluated in terms of capacity for the forecast period. Simulation models are created in the PTV VISSIM program for both proposed solutions, and corresponding drawing documentation is prepared. In the conclusion of the thesis, a comparison of both variants is performed using a multi-criteria evaluation, and the most suitable solution is selected.
